USCIS Expands Suspension of Premium Processing
08/28/2018
In April, USCIS announced the suspension of premium processing for cap-subject H-1B petitions until September 10, 2018. Today USCIS announced that starting September 11th it will suspend premium processing for most H-1B petitions. This suspension will cover all H-1B petitions except:
1) Petitions filed with the Nebraska Service Center requesting a continuation of previously approved employment without change with the same employer.
2) Cap-exempt petitions filed with the California Service Center because the employer is cap-exempt or because the beneficiary will work at a qualifying cap-exempt institution, entity, or organization.
USCIS expects the suspension of premium processing will last through February 19, 2019.
