CIS Ombudsman Announces Teleconference on H-1B Enforcement Issues

Yesterday, the Office of the Citizenship and Immigration Services Ombudsman announced it will hold a teleconference on H-1B enforcement issues with United States Citizenship and Immigration Services, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the Department of Justice's Immigration and Employee Rights Section, and the Department of Labor's Wage and Hour Division. In its announcement e-mail to stakeholders, the Ombudsman's Office said the teleconference will cover compliance and review of H-1B petitions; wage and hour laws for H-1B workers and the complaint process; H-1B investigations and interagency activity; and noncompliance and fraud. The teleconference will include a question and answer section at the end of the call.
